Most of the TV series today in India are concentrating on the girl child and I am really beginning to doubt the motive behind these TV serials made. Other channels are catching up trying to make programs concentrating on the issues concerning girl child like education, child marriage, female foeticide, dowry etc
Earlier it was the Saas - Bahu (mothers -in -law & daughters- in -law) series and now everyone seems to be getting better Television Rate Points (TRPs) with the new found subject. I do not understand that if these series are spreading awareness or actually glorifying these age old customs.
Surely, people are making enough moolah (wealth) through this subject. Hopefully it should is being made to spread the awareness and not only for monetary benefits.
